It isn't necessarily digital. Offset printing can be done using analog techniques. In fact, that is how it was done for decades long before digital graphic design or digital photography came around. This video is slightly misinformation for that reason.
Excellent, clear explanation! Thanks
clad i found this channel thanks!
how much is the cutter
Still remember watching this video in year 7
Black color symbol K why. It will be B. Please explain
Black is first, than CMY
Thank you so much
I learned about RGB because I have led lights that have a feture where you can mix your own colors using different amounts of green blue or red light
The water is used to keep the areas of the plate that do not have printing graphics, clean and ink-free
thank you, was searching the whole internet just to find a simple explanation of offset printing (means for really amateurs who never seen an offset printing before) and only this video gave me that explanation. Thanks!
Exactly the same for me, the wikipedia page is meaningless without a prior understanding of the process. I just reread it after watching this concise video and it is still insider nonsense, common problem when people deep inside an industry try to write encyclopedic content.
Thank you for the info. Blessing in *Christ Jesus.*
Nice and Welcome to my New Offset Printing Channel. www.youtube.com/@taibaprint
thank you. this helped greatly June 2023, 7 years after the video was posted
Very nice video
How to solve picking problem?
Dampening, vegetable oil? I'm sure there's some magic going on here but the video doesn't say what it is. I'm also not sure what the rubber roller is for except maybe it's because metal-paper contact isn't as good as metal-rubber, rubber-paper contact.
Holy shit this is pure engineering genius 😮
Is offset printing single side?
Yes
did u say JOOOPLICATE? :P
Thank you
THANK U omg
Thanks mate. Very quick and informative this is why my prints suck
CMYK are printing colours, while RGB are light colours.
Ahhh. Additive and subtractive . I remember now. When printing with ink u need CMYK. Dot matrix
JP Morgan Chase was ❌x❌ like Kilroy..
HOW OFFSET PRINTING WORKS
Wow... this seems very wasteful considering it's how our daily newspapers are printed
LOL IT DOES REALLY LOOKS LIKE KYO HAHAHAHHA
Could mirror is future display for broadcasting streaming in data less
This is future of life communication all specie materials creation and heat control and human health in lcd or led
Cyan is just blue?
No.
@@Fb_Sim_Cyan_Friend yes it is just light blue lol

He mentioned this were u not paying attension
Ppppppppppp
Thanks for the 2 minute refresher course.
Muy buena explicación. 👏👍
Im learning to run one of these at work. The video was less confusing than the guy teaching me lol.
I had the same experience many years ago. My level of knowledge and experience was minimal compared to the 3-decade pressmen who taught me. They explained things quickly, with the assumption I understood what they meant and had a rudimentary knowledge of the process... uh, process. "OK. Loosen the gearside trolleys on the balloon so we don't get overfeed and smash a blanket if the web wraps." Uh, what? But I didn't have a video that simplified it, though I wish I had.
@@budlewis721 im 35 days into running s offset 1980s akiyama. Just smashed my first blanket Friday:/. Im getting better every day. But mistakes get made and i realize now the buttons are the easy part. Ive never even seen a press before but its fun.
@@L3GENDZLuLKeK It's a long process, even if you're sharp, something I can't claim. Don't ever make the mistake of thinking you have learned enough. There's always more, and you'll never get it all. I'm 69 and retired, and I just learned something I didn't know. I just hope printing will still be a thing in 20 years. And when you do it right, printers will be the only ones that will know.
@@budlewis721 Thanks for taking the time to reply I feel like I’m headed in the right direction, its nice to know my experience is more common then I thought while learning this craft.
Ahhh this maybe why when I buy a pair of shoes online the screen shows one color, but when I actually get the shoe its a whole different color. One pair I had to take back because I didn't like the color. Haha
Wow, the best video explaining the difference between additive and subtractive color models. The animation with the printer on the white paper was spot on!
why have i gone down a rabbit hole of typewriters and printing presses
Black goes down first.
Not in any web printing I've ever done. The lightest color (yelo) is more easily contaminated due to ink on the blankets and idler rollers travelling on the web, especially on long runs. If black was laid down first, you'd spend half the shift shutting down for a washup(s).
@@budlewis721 well the pic is sheetfed. I also run a web. Black is first too. UNIMAN 4/2.
@@druckerman247 Are you saying I did it wrong for 32 years?
@@budlewis721 no. There's more than one way to skin a cat.
